Hino Rei is the fiery soldier of the planet Mars, Sailor Mars. As a civilian she is a miko at her grandfather's Hikawa Shrine. She has some psychic abilities but appears to sometimes be a very lonely girl (until she meets the other soldiers). Because of her temper and strict nature she can seem a little cold and overbearing.... possibly even a litle mean. She also can come off as bossy. On the surface it seems that she wants to be pampered by men. In truth, she can be a very loving girl. She wants the man she loves to believe in her. Read on to find out about the Pure Heart of Hino Rei.

Sailormoon TV Love Interest: Chiba Mamoru Details: Rei really persued Mamoru during the first season. She thought that he looked like Tuxedo Mask (while Usagi was in denial). She dragged him along on dates to places he wasn't interested in and was always hanging on him. Mamoru, on the other hand, had no interest in the relationship and even admitted that it was like having a little sister along. Finally, during a battle with Zoisite, his identity was revealed and it was learned that Usagi and Mamoru were reborn lovers from the past. End Result: Rei just couldn't compete against a love that was meant to be. When Usagi and Mamoru's pasts were revealed Rei fell into the background and silently let go of Mamoru. She and Usagi remained friends even through this.

Sailormoon TV - Sailormoon SS TV Love Interest: Kumada Yuuichirou Details: Yuuichirou decided to stay at the Hikawa Shrine when he fell head-over-heels for the pretty miko, Rei. In the beginning, Rei bossed him around a lot and seemed to take advantage of him. She showed little interest in him even though he showed that he loves her. He has even risked his life to save her. This act seems to warm Rei up to him a little and she even gave him a kiss (while he was unconscious). Later, we see the two get closer. End Result: We are not given any definite answers to this relationship. After the SS season we don't see him again but it is safe to assume he is still at the shrine. While it seems that there is a possible relationship waiting to be explored we don't get to know for sure what happens to them.

Sailormoon S TV Love Interest: Ten'oh Haruka Details: All the girls were interested in the cool Ten'oh Haruka... even though Haruka was a girl. Needless to say, Rei was interested even though she was not persuing her like a normal love interest. It appeared to be more of a "I want to hang out with the cool, handsome girl too! She's awesome and cute! Like a cool guy!" type of thing. End Result: Even though Haruka is super flirtatious, she remained with Michiru. Since this wasn't a serious persual and just a crush, Rei was not distraught about the whole thing.

Sailormoon Sailor Stars (eps 173-200) Love Interest: Seiya Kou, Taiki Kou, Yaten Kou Details: I was going to list them each separately but I didn't really find the need to since these three were just quick crushes. Like the other soldiers, Rei had a crush on the three idols and seems that she would have been happy catching any one of the three. Though, she did show more of an interest in Yaten at first. End Result: She didn't end up with any of the three. It could be that they ended up being women or that they were going back to their home planet or even that the Three Lights weren't interested in finding dates while on Earth ^_^
