Look a Little Deeper
If you just look at the surface of a character you oftentimes miss some of the most important aspects they have to offer. If you look deeper you'll find the true person.

She is a very studious girl who is always getting top grades. Once she graduated to high school she cooled down a bit and joined the Computer club. She wears more conservative clothes. Her unexpected comments can add a bit of flavor to her and to see her get embarrassed by them. Ami-chan's biggest fear is love letters. You might wonder why, but since she is such a shy type of girl it would be understandable. She is easily embarrassed and with friends like hers who like to tease, well.... you get the idea. She is always happy to help her friends with homework that they do not understand. As a soldier, her high IQ really comes in handy. Of all the sailors she is the last to loose her cool. Her dream is to become a doctor. With her intelligence and determination she would make a very fine one like her mother who is also a doctor.

The Ups and Downs
Every person has their good points and their bad points. That goes for animated characters as well so I have make a little list to go over some of these points.

Character Pros: She gets top scores on every test. She is always willing to help others. She cares for other people.

Character Cons: She can be overly shy at times. She often lacks self confidence.
