Look a Little Deeper
If you just look at the surface of a character you oftentimes miss some of the most important aspects they have to offer. If you look deeper you'll find the true person.

She is the soldier of Space-Time and a very mysterious person [which is stating the obvious]. She is a melancholy, forgotten soldier who must forever guard the Door of Space-Time alone. She does have one friend, Small Lady, daughter of Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion. At one point she left her post to reveal the third talisman, the Garnet Orb, which sits atop of her Garnet Rod. She is a very mature character and very serious as well which are some of the few characteristics you get to see in this version. While her dreams are never clearly stated in the anime, I can still see that she cares for the Small Lady very much. She protects the child and always appears when there is some trouble approaching the royal family.

The Ups and Downs
Every person has their good points and their bad points. That goes for animated characters as well so I have make a little list to go over some of these points.

Character Pros: She has lived through every age and remains young in appearance (I bet Queen Nehellenia is extremely jealous of that!). She has the Garnet Orb talisman. She seems to be good with children. (ex. Small Lady & baby Hotaru)

Character Cons: She is not seen very much in the anime. Being the guardian of the Door of Space-Time isolates her.
