"July 1999. Early afternoon, in a certain dimension, on a certain planet, in a certain country, in a certain city..." there was Parallel Sailormoon, the short story included in the Materials Collection.
The story starts out with the four girls, Aino Minako, Hino Rei, Kino Makoto, and Mizuno Ami who are all parents of one and their current age a secret. They are hanging out together and chatting about their lives and what's going on. Their children appear and announce they are going to their cooking class. After they leave Chibi Usa and Hotaru pop up and speak of Chibi Usa's little sister and how she fell asleep while on duty with rabbit breeding and goes on to talk about how the little kid just picks things up and eats them.
Then --finally-- Tsukino Usagi makes her appearance and tells everyone that she was late because when she tries on new shoes it's hard for her to walk. She seems surprised to see her daughter there but Chibi Usa wastes no time in her demands from her silly mother "Payment demand for your eldest daughter's cram school fee, payment demand for your second daughter's school lunch program, and today you missed the PTA meeting. Did you lock up the house when you left?". Usagi's eyes, of course, start to water and she cries out that her daughter is mean, but the two school girls excuse themselves to go to cram school.
The four third-graders walk together complaining about their housewife mothers talk with each other on the phone everyday, meet every week, have a weekly tea-party entitled 'Sailor Muscles Meeting', and have trivial conversations. They wonder if housewives have any hobbies and mention that they are all adopted daughters-in-law which is why they do whatever they want. They all talk about what they want to do (even though they shouldbe going to their cooking class) and then Kousagi, second daughter to the Tsukino family, appears with an ice cream cone. She hasn't even finished her ice cream as she tell the others that she's hungry from running to catch up with them. The girls all express their annoyance of the little girl, but say that since their mothers are all friends they have no choice.
Ami, Mako, Rei, and Mina all run away from the girl and try to figure out a way to ditch her. They play jan-ken-po to decide who has to take care of her. Then they hear Kousagi screaming that there's a pink cat and sure enough there is and it has a crescent bald spot on it's head. They mention that so many cats have gathered and even talk about how there's a cat at Kousagi's house even though she's afraid of cats. They play jan-ken-po with Kousagi (she wins with sissors over paper) and is told she can come with them and the winner of the game today gets to carry everyone's bags. The girls tell her to bring the pink cat and to meet them at the bean-jam dumpling shop in Shibuya before running off. The cat climbs on Kousagi's head and she sets it down again. She has just remembered that there was cooking class today and cries that she's ruined her full course meal by eating already. Her mind quickly jumps to the color of the pink cat, then back to the dumpling shop's parfaits. She chases after the girls calling out to them "Wait! Don't leave me behind! Ami-chan! Rei-chan! Mako-chan! Mina-chan!" The girls try to make it to the train station, but suddenly in the sky above them there is a bright light. The girls access that it is not something of this planet and wonder if the Earth is in danger. They quickly worry about Kousagi and say they have to help her.
Kousagi is knocked off her feet and when she opens her eyes again she is face to face with a small girl with cat ears, pink hair, and a tail floats. They are both floating in the air. The cat asks her to transform and save the planet. Kousagi says "My dad said my tongue is one rarely seen in recent years, an 'eating poor food' tongue! And someday I will be chosen, and this tongue will save the world." but the cat counters "That will not save it." Kousagi proceeds to say that if that's not the case then she doesn't want to do it since she is afraid of scary things and doesn't want to be bullied anymore. The pink haired girl tells her that if she does soemthing good will happen, that Ami, Rei, Mina, and Mako are her followers, and that she is a princess. "Parallel Moon Power!! Make Up!!" Kousagi fnids herself in a sailorsuit with rabbit design. The four girls appear and are now also wearing sailor suits. Kousagi seems to slip right into her leadership role as the strange glowing ball comes closer to Earth. As the ball approaches it is discovered to be tons of tiny rabbits gathered together in the shape of a large rabbit head. Kousagi takes Ami's book and says that the natural enemy of rabbits are cats who will eat them. They call on all the cats who join together to make a large cat head. They go forth and eat the ball of rabbits.
The girls are all on the ground sleeping and mummbling about the cat eating the rabbits. Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna stand over them. Michiru says "You girls...! Nodding off on top of being late, you must be fearless." The girls wake up in their cooking class. They then begin to comment on them all having the same dream of transforming, working hard, and fighting beside Kousagi. Kousagi looks down at the little pink cat who winks at her. "Sometimes it's not a dream."
