We first meet Phobos and Deimos in the form of crows at the Hikawa Shrine. They are very close to Hino, Rei have been with her at the shrine ever since she started living there before grammar school. On many occasions they have helped her out in tough spots. When Rei is in Palla Palla's trap, Phobos and Deimos take on these sprite forms to save her. They give her the Mars Crystal which allows her to once again transform. These sprites became the partners of the princess of Mars who was chosen to be Sailor Mars. Originally, they were from the planet Coronis and were training soldiers, watching each other dream. In the Stars saga, Sailor Lead Crow, the one who betrayed their planet's guardian soldier, stole their star seeds.

Who's Who ~ Deimos is the sprite dressed in the dark purple outfit. Phobos is the one in the red outfit. When the two introduce themselves in sprite form in Act 36, the one in the lighter outfit claims she is Phobos, and the one in the darker uniform claims she is Deimos.

Crows
These two make their first appearance as the crows who stay at the Hikawa Shrine and seem to be friends/guardians of Rei.

Sprites
These two appear in sprite form to help Rei power up by giving her the Mars Crystal.
