This soldier came from a dark future where all that remained were wars and death. She no longer knew they there were wars and fighting, it just was. In her time, she had lost the battle against Sailor Chaos and decided to give up everything and run away. She believed that with their way of fighting they (she and the others against Chaos?) didn't stand a chance. Even if they had won at that point, the damage taken and the price they paid would have been too great.

Sailor Cosmos, ever regretting the mistake she made in the past, back at the Galaxy Cauldron in her battle against Chaos, decided to set things right. She traveled through time, to a time when she was once again all alone. She remained at her past self's side in the form of Chibichibi, a small, loveable little girl. "The me of here, too, was all alone. Always suffering. So I was always by her side to support her. I was going to make her (her being Sailor Moon, of course) choose the right path this time," she said.

When the final battle against Chaos came to be at the Galaxy Cauldron, the girl did not try to stop Sailor Moon from melding with the Cauldron and thus only sealing Chaos away, providing the chance that she could emerge once again. In the end, she decided that the chosen path was not a mistake. After being with Sailor Moon, she decided that she would return to the future, she would not run away anymore. Until then, she declared that Eternal Sailor Moon was the true Sailor Cosmos, and when she could match that strength and courage she would once again be the soldier of the cosmos.

This is the form we see this little girl in the most durning her time in the series. She's a small child who doesn't say much most of the time.

Chibichibi reveals that she can transform into a Sailor Soldier and helps Eternal Sailor Moon and her friends fight. However, her true form is Sailor Cosmos.

Sailor Cosmos < - >
Revealed to be a future version of Sailor Moon, but whether she is a reborn version of her or just a future incarnation from Neo Queen Serenity is unknown.
