Usagi was a not-so-ordinary Japanese girl. She received under-average grades in school, was habitually late, very naive, and showed her feelings ALL the time. But, it was she who encountered the little black cat with a crescent bald spot on its forehead. The cat revealed to her the destiny that awaited, and it was that day she became a soldier fighting for Love and Justice, Sailor Moon. On her journey, she met with other soldiers who would stand beside her, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and the one who seems to be their princess, Venus. Together they fought against the Dark Kingdom who wished to take the Earth and Moon for their own. It was not until Usagi's beloved Mamoru (aka Tuxedo Mask) was injured that memories flooded her mind and she recalled her past life as Princess Serenity of the Moon. She discovered the powers of the Phantom Silver Crystal and her true self.

Later still, it was revealed that Usagi and Mamoru would one day become Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion. Together they would rule the new Silver Millennium, Crystal Tokyo, in the 30th Century. Their child would be the little girl who fell from the sky, Chibi Usa, aka Usagi Small Lady Serenity. As the story went on, Usagi and Mamoru's bond strengthened more and more. They became even more powerful together. Many enemies continued to invade Earth, but together Sailor Moon stood with her friends and loved ones, fighting to protect all they love.

Tsukino, Usagi < - >
She is the 14 year old junior high school student we meet at the beginning of the series. Her family includes a mother, father, and brother who all live together.

Sailor Moon < - >
Usagi transforms into this sailor suited soldier when fighting against enemies.

Princess Serenity < - >
This is Usagi's past self. She was the princess of the Silver Millennium before she died and was reborn as Tsukino, Usagi. Her castle was Moon Castle

Super Sailor Moon < - >
Usagi transforms into this form when she uses the Holy Grail and also when she transforms later on with Chibi Usa in the Dreams saga.

Eternal Sailor Moon < - >
Usagi transforms into this form during her final battle with Queen Nehellenia. This is the last version we see her power-up to through the end of the series.

Neo-Queen Serenity < - >
She is queen of Crystal Tokyo of the 30th Century and is married to King Endymion. When Usagi was 22 years old she ascended to the throne and gave birth to the first princess [Small Lady]. After that, she maintained the same figure. When she ascended to the throne in the 21st century, the people of Crystal Tokyo entered the age of long life. Serenity lives in the Crystal Palace

Sailor Cosmos < - >
Revealed to be a future version of Sailor Moon, but whether she is a reborn version of her or just a future incarnation from Neo Queen Serenity is unknown.
