Neo Queen Serenity stood at the door to her bedroom balcony over looking the beautiful lightened city of Crystal Tokyo. The rain poured down on the crowed busy street of the city below. The city was busier than usual, because the people were preparing for the celebration of its founding. She closed her eyes and remembered the day that Tokyo was transformed forever into this bustling place and she and Endymion were crowded King and Queen. Her thoughts were broken by a clap of thunder. Her eyes snapped open wide. She knew that she shouldn't be still afraid of a thunderstorm, but she could not help but jump at every flash of lightening or clap of thunder. She felt a pair of warm arms wrap around her waist pulling her close to the strong and warm body of her husband. She wrapped her own arms around them, creasing them the with her soft hands. Allowing for him to completely support her she leant back against him. Neo-Queen Serenity sighed contently as she watched the battering rain rush down the glass of the glass balcony doors. Just when she has completely relaxed the dark sky brightened as a lightening streaked ever closer to the palace. Serenity turned burying her face into her husbands chest. " Are you frightened?" King Endymion asked looking down at her. Serenity look up at her husband. " No." she replied her voice shaky. He looked her in skepticism. " Yes." She replied in the same voice. " I thought so." He said tightening his embrace. He gently cupped her chin, tilting her face towards. His leant down bringing his lips to hers in a gently loving kiss. When they broke apart Neo-Queen turned back to the balcony. Her husband still holding her in his arms she didn't jump when lightening flashed or thunder clapped. In the silence of the room the clock setting on the nightstand was the only thing heard as it ticked away the minutes while the royal couple stood holding each other staring out over the city. King Endymion's attention was soon captured by the soft squeaking of the bedroom door opening. He turned his head in its direction and watched. Waiting for someone or something to enter. A small head with brightly pink hair pocked inside and looked around. It was their daughter, Small Lady. When she had seen the two standing in front of the rain drenched windows; noticing that one them was looking directly at her she started to back out of the room. " Rini," King Endymion spoke. The door opened once again and the little four-year-old girl entered wearing a pair of pajamas that dragged along the floor. Both her mother and father stood facing her. Usually her parents were asleep at this torpor hour. Then she could easily slip into the bed between them without waking them. A crack of thunder sent Rini running across the room towards her parents, nearly tripping over something furry hidden below her gown. Rini wrapped her arms around her mothers legs; burying her face into Neo-Queen Serenity's own nightgown. " What's the matter, Rini." King Endymion asked kneeling beside his daughter. " Mommy! Daddy!" she cried as another clap of thunder sounded over head. She buried her face in her mother gown again. " The storm is scary. Can I sleep with you?" King Endymion giggled to himself. " I don't know." His wife looked up at him saying " Darien Mamour Chiba." There was a name he hadn't heard, since the night the Sleep took hold of every being on the planet. " I was just playing." He replied. " Of course she can sleep in our bed tonight." Neo-Queen Serenity stooped down scooping her daughter into her arms and went to the queen size four-poster bed. She placed Rini on it, then pulled back the covers and watched has her only child scrabbled underneath the covers at the sound of more thunder. After Rini had settled herself into the center of the bed the Queen of Crystal Tokyo climbed in for a long good night's rest; drawing the covers up around them. Before joining his small family Endymion made sure the balcony doors were locked and curtains were drawn. Then went to close and the bedroom door. Thunder cracked the air after a strike of lightening illuminated the room. King Endymion turned to his bed to find two lumps huddled beneath the covers. He chuckled again to himself. Pulling back the curtains he was greeted by two loving smiling face. He smiled back and climbed in. " There's nothing to fear." He informed his wife and daughter. He kissed his daughter's forehead and gave Serenity a kiss on the lips. Within a matter of minutes each member of the family was settled into his and her own dreams. Diana- Rini's pet kitten-, who had sunk into the room, jumped onto King Endymion's bare chest, curled into a ball, and drifted into her dreams.
