Lady," the servent was startled by the sudden presence of the goddess-like figure of a young woman. "Yes?" she maintained her dominant posture and hovered over the crouching girl. She was lovely, with long blond- almost white hair that reached her golden- sandeled heels. Upon her delicate brow, she wore a magnificent headdress that covered most of her forehead. Her eyes were a cool green, they framed her perfect nose and nicely full lips, all that fitted her strong jaw; the face of a warrior, goddess, teacher, and ruler. "L-lady, there was a message from the Queen of the Moon Kingdom..." "Aah, I have heard the news of their problems, thank you for reminding me." The woman sighed but then, "Wait a moment, would you mind doing me the favor of telling Hecate (2) to meet me in the gardens to discuss the situation...?" she drawled the last words, looking very much like a kitten basking on a bench in the springtime. "Yes." --- "Dearest, dearest, ruler-to-be of our marvelous galaxy, I need to say..." "Shush, dear child, your adulation is nice, but I am far from becoming a ruler of our so-called marvelous galaxy... What is the news?" Hecate asked as she brushed her silvery hair from her face. "Athene wishes to see you in the gardens this evening to discuss the 'situation'. Ceberus (3) has recently told me." the servent bowed her head lower than usual, and then left quickly. The girl paused over her vanity and took her tiara from the stand and left the room. --- The guardian of knowledge stood across from the fountains, looking wistfully at the flowers. "Venus (4), that lustful child, she will soon..." "Athene? You wish to talk?" a girl-child peaked from the bushes and flowers, her hair a mess, and smiled. "Yes. It seems that Selenity has not been able to handle the maximum capacity from our old menace, the Dark Kingdom. She wishes for our help." "Dark Kingdom... Our sister cannot handle them? My twin?" the naive monarch stood, astounded. "I had predicted this long ago, and Beryl, that old rock, has been trying to take over her kingdom." "We must then." "We must let her die!" "For the sake of the galaxy and kingdom. For my daughter and yours. Oh, Athene, I cannot bear it!" she lamented, resting her head on her older sister's shoulder. "Alas, there is nothing we can do, if she cannot handle the responsibility of one. Her daughter and her guardians will waver from their positions and missions... Let us only hope they survive. She will use the ginzishou, and outshine all. Everyone will die. Only the ones destined to live will be alive." "Please, don't let it happen." "I know that as well, Hecate, for because of that, our children, our daughters, will turn against them, for their purposes in life differ, as the many senshi in the galaxy differ..." "Let us only hope.." "Hope." --- (1) : Athene also known as Minerva in Roman mythology is the goddess of knowledge and many other things, and was born from the head of Zeus, main god of all Olympus. (2) : Hecate- the queen of witches from Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. Also can be referred to as the dark side of the moon. (3) : Cerebus was a guy/thing/god from Greek mythology. (4) : Venus is the Roman version of the Greek goddess of lust, love, and sexuality, also known as Aphrodite (Greek), Aino Minako (Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon) and Sailorvenus (Sailormoon). --- "Have you heard, Nagisa? Did you hear about it?" the red-haired girl exclaimed in the intermission of the princesses' studies. "Yes, Tokiko, I've heard of it." the other sighed in melancholia. She had been awfully bored all the morning long. "Bakayarou! Everyone knows about it, especially since the master has told us this very /morning/, Tokiko-/chan/." The white-haired femme fatale hissed angrily at the both of them. "...sorry..." "Better be, you..." she trailed off as the trio caught sight of a handsome boy across from their row of tables. "Oh, Hideki, you fire my heart..." the girls chimed in unison. "Girls!" he looked over at them and advanced. "O gosh, O gosh!" Tokiko squealed, nearly tearing her hair out. Nagisa and Fuuko rolled their eyes and stared. "Fuuko-chan, how about taking a walk in the gardens and seeing out the lovely flowers?" It wasn't a question. "Flattered, but how about another time? My mother has told all three of us to meet out with the brat- Akane. I mean, Akuma. I'm sorry, Hideki." Fuuko cried, and kissed the boy passionately on the lips. "Stop it, Fuu!" Nagisa yelled, and dragged her friend out. --- Notes: The beginning, with all the goddesses and stuff, is only because a lot of people (that I've met) don't know much about Roman or Greek mythology... If you do, that's nice and you don't have to read. The rest, like 'akuma' and stuff, isn't important. This chapter/part got kind of stupid near the end, but I'm thinking of a highschool classroom on break. Sue me. This fiction, by the way, is the prequel to my more successful and revised fanfiction, revived courtesy of yours truly, but a of the first chapter won't be available just yet... I think this fanfiction explains more about the situations and relationships. In 'Senshi Icestar', Tokiko appears less and has less power. Akane and Yuki are the same, except that...
