Chapter 3


That night while Raye, Ami, Lita, and Mina lit fireworks and put on a little show,
Serena and Darien watched from their bedroom balcony and Rini from hers, 
whereas Son somehow got up on the roof to watch it there. Rini kept looking 
around for Son, a little bit concerned on if he went back in time. She then heard 
someone on the roof. She leaned over the balcony railing a bit, just to see Son up 
there, legs crossed, lost deeply in his thoughts. Son looked down at her, then closed
his eyes. A rush of air lifted Rini off her feet, lifting her up to the roof. She looked 
at him as he opened his eyes again. "Do you mind if i sit beside you Son?"

He looked at her and nods "No, go ahead." 

Rini sat down beisde him, watching the fireworks show. She looked over at him, 
and realized he was not well. His face said it all. "Son, is there something wrong? 
You don't look okay, you look sad-"

Suddenly, Son looked at her the same way he looked at Darien earlier. "Rini, you're 
the only person I've accually cared about, I realized that when we went after the 
others......I guess what I'm trying to say is that...."

"Yes?"

"I guess I.....um.....well....I lo....."

Rini's heart stopped, knowing what he was going to say. She put a finger on his lips, 
startling him and shutting him up. "ssshh, don't say anything, your face says it all." And 
with that she kisseed him softly on the cheek Just realizing what she did, she turned 
away, blushing, wondering if he was going to take it the right way or what. Son touched 
his cheek, knowing Rini felt the same way about him. He sat there frozen stiff, looking 
at her, his mind blank, all the unease of his past dissappearing, the symbol on his wrist 
glowing brightly.

He put his hand on her cheek, and she turned around, looking at him, tears of happiness 
in her eyes. He wipeed them away with his hand before Rini grabbed it and put it back 
against her. She then leaned over and they kissed each other on the lips gently, quickly 
pulling back. They looked in each others eyes, not saying anything. Rini then hugged 
Son tightly placing her head on his shoulder, whispering "I love you" in his ear.

Just then, a huge explosion came from behind. Rini let go of him and both stood up, 
just to see a familiar face foating downwards, landing on the roof with an evil smirk 
on his face. He laughed evilly as he pulled the hood on his cloak back to expose his 
face. It was him, Soul Stealer, he returned.

"Yes, back from the Void. It was smart to close the portal before I got free, it would've
meant me killing you a whole lot quicker if you didn't." Stealer said, popping his knuckles. 
A dark force enraveled his arm as he thrusted it forward "DIE BROTHER!" A dark bolt 
of energy much like lightning shot at Son with enough power to either kill him there, or 
knock him off the roof so he could fall to his death.

Before Son could react, Rini jumped infront of him, being struck by the energy bolt. She 
flew off the roof and landed on the balcony below. She laid there, lifeless and still, the 
color leaving her skin. Her heart stopped beating as her last second passed by.

"RINI! NO!" Son yelled as he jumped down to the balcony, picked her up, and jumped 
to the ground from 3 stories up, not being hurt when he landed as he summoned wind 
to break his fall. He laid her on the ground, looking at her, tears forming in his eyes. 
"Rini, no....please be alive..." He checked her jugular vein for a pulse. Nothing. Son 
closed his eyes, crying out Rini's name at the top of his lungs. The others surrounded 
Rini as they picked her up and took her inside, knowing a battle was inevitable. Serena 
threw the Sceptor with the Imperium Crystal lodged inside down to him. He picked 
them up, then become still.

"Is baby brother gonna cry??" Stealer said mockingly before he laughed. But then he 
suddenly stopped. What was this power he was feeling? These pure vibes he was 
picking up? He looked to Son, the symbol on his hand was no longer alone, it was now 
inside a crescent moon. He stepped back, becoming scared. "Impossible! He can't gain 
so much energy, even from the crystal, unless..."

Son's eyes opened, glowing bright silver. The new symbol on his wrist contenues 
glowing as he yelled, his whole body glowing silver. Angel wings were uncovered 
from his back, boots formed on his feet, and his eyes turned silver. He then stopped 
glowing, his head hung, his eyes closed, grasping the Sceptor in his right hand, his 
white hair blowing in the breeze, his anger and rage turned into peace and serenity.
He opened his eyes and looked up at Stealer.

"Your true form.....your true self has been unleashed again! This is impossible, you 
have the curse!" Stealer said, jumping to the ground, looking at him fearful.

"I finally had true happiness brother...then you took it away...." Son said as he closed 
his eyes, clinching his fist. "I can not forgive you for your actions Stealer..." His eyes 
opened, glowing brightly with a new rage for the one he lost. "I SWEAR I WILL KILL 
YOU BROTHER!"

"PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS SON!" Stealer yelled as he 
shot a huge bolt of dark energy at Son, at least half way to the maximum amount of 
power he could put into it. It hit Son with extraordinary force, knocking him far back, 
but not enough that he could flip and land on his feet. Son then pulled his arms back 
behind him, then he gathered the pure energy from his soul into his hands. "Epoch 
Star Beam!" he yelled as he thrusted his hands forward, the beam flying at Stealer 
with just as much force as his bolt of energy.

"Pathetic!" Stealer yelled as he shot another, much weaker bolt at the beam, 
neutralizing it and hitting Son, knocking him back aways. "Your puny futile attacks 
are no match for me brother. You have no choice but to embrace death!" He 
laughed as he began gathering all the energy from within to shoot at Son in one 
huge blast. "Game Over Brother!"

Son closed his eyes, not knowing what to do now. "My beam didn't even make 
it to him, and that bolt was weaker than before! It's useless, I have nothing left 
to throw at him." Suddenly he remembered the Sceptor. He wondered how he 
was to use it, he never tried an attack with a weapon, let alone a sceptor.

"Son, please go for it." a familiar voice rang in Son's head, the voice of Rini. "Use 
the Sceptor along with your beam. I know you can do it...."

Son snapped out of it, then looked at the sceptor. The Imperium Crystal glowed 
with his energy, then he knew what to do. He put it infront of him, then concentrated, 
closing his eyes, drawing energy from the crystal, supercharging himself and his 
energy for what was to come. He was going for broke on the next one....even if it 
killed him.

"IT ENDS NOW BROTHER!" Stealer yelled as he fired the bolt of energy at Son 
with such great force and power, it could easily decimate an entire city, let alone 
one person. Everyone watched from the balcony as the bolt drew nearer and 
nearer to Son. 

" I Can't allow him to die!" Raye said as she goes to transform, but Serena stopped 
her before she could do anything else. "Hey, what gives?!"

"Son..." Serena said. She knew something was to happen, something amazing. "He's 
going to use the sceptor and the crystal...." 

Everyone looked outside as the bolt was right at Son. Son opened his eyes and 
thrusted the sceptor forth, a glow in his eyes and symbol, determination in his 
heart. "Crescent Moon Star Beam!" he yelled as a huge beam of light came 
from the sceptor, neutralizing the bolt, destroying it, and hitting Stealer. 
Immeadiately Stealer begin to turn to stone.

"This is impossible, I can't be defeated......" he said as he became a big statue 
of stone suspended in air. He then fell, breaking into little pieces, turning into 
dust and blowing away with the wind. All that's left is a dogtag with his name 
on it. That too turns to dust and blows away. The battle was over, Son defeated 
his brother.

Son glowed and detransformed, except for the boots, and he fell to one knee. 
"Goodbye....my brother." he mutters as he gets up, bruised, bleeding, scratched, 
and beaten up. He walked in the castle and up to Rini's room. He walked by 
everyone and to Rini's bedside. He looked down at her, that rare look once again 
on his face as he put a hand on her cheek. He looked up at everyone. "I would 
like to be alone to say my last goodbyes." Everyone nodded and walked out.

Son carressed her cheek, laying the sceptor down. "Rini, I'm sorry I wasn't able 
to save you, I'm sorry I don't have the power to bring you back....." A tear runs 
down his face and in between Rini's eyes. He leans down and kisses her on the
lip very gently, then lays the sceptor in her hands, the crystal right where the 
tear fell. He walked to the door, opens it, then looks at her again. "Goodbye...my 
love" he walked out the door and Serena and Darien looked at him, knowing what 
they must do. They walked outside towards the place Son came to this time in.

Meanwhile in the castle, Rini was to undergo a huge change. A crescent moon 
glowed on her forehead, the crystal too, and soon her whole body. She opened 
her eyes, looking around. "Where am I? Am I dead?" she then realized what 
was happening, her spirit ment tot he crystal when she died, that's why Son 
heard her in his head. Speaking of which, where was he? She then realized. 
"The field!" She ran out, just as Son and the others arrived at the tree.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay? You have nowhere else to go..." Darien asked.

"He's right, you can stay with us" Serena added.

Son shook his head, "No, it is my fault Rini died, you all got captured, and the 
whole celebration was ruined. It is best I leave..." He held his hand out, a 
portal opening to his time. He looked over his shoulder. "Goodbye..." He turned 
around and halfway entered the portal, before something stopped him. He tried 
to shake it off, but something was going on, he felt it.

"SON!" a voice called from around 100 feet away. Son turned around, and his 
eyes grew wide, it was Rini, she was..alive.

"Rini?" he muttered as he stepped out of the portal, looking as she ran nearer. 
It was her, it WAS Rini. "RINI!" he yelled as he ran towards her. They met in 
the middle, embracing each other tightly. He then asked her "How are you..."

"I don't want to talk about it..." Rini interrupted as she kissed his cheek and laid 
her head on his shoulder, nuzzling his cheek with hers. "Please Son, never let me 
go" She asked with tears in her eyes. He smiled as the portal closed behind them, 
leaning his head against hers, whispering in her ear "I promise my love."

Rini looked at him as they leaned into each other and kissed each other on the 
lips softly. Darien and Serena was still watching from the background, holding 
hands and smiling.

"I guess we have a son, eh love?" Darien wise cracked.

"No dear, a son and new ally."Serena said as the sun rose in the horizon, the 
dawn of a new day, not only literally, but for everyone, especially Son and Rini.

"I finally have true happiness" both Son and Rini though simultaneously as the 
looked in each others eyes and then to the sunrise, a true smile finally on Son's 
face. The hourglass and crescent moon dissappeared from his wrist. The curse 
had finally been broken, he was now free.





Editorial Epilogue (for lack of name there-in)

So that's it, the end of the story, you're probably happy that this is over, and so 
you should be. I mean, writing this for 5 hours non-stop, running on only 2 hours 
of sleep, just to turn around and type it the next day, it hurt you more than it hurt 
me probably, being this is my first fanfic story and all. So now you can complain 
to me or the owner of this site, curse him/her out, go to his house and beat him/her 
up, seing you went through a few minutes of pain and torture. Anyways, go on 
with your meaningless lives and drink a cold one for me....I'm underage, so make
it a Coors Light.......

The writer of this story apologizes for the paragraph above. He has been sacked,
