Foreword This is the REAL sequel, chronologically, at any rate. For the devoted fans of BOTH Sailor Moon AND Dragon Ball Z, I dedicate this fanfic to all of those people. As a side note: This takes place AFTER Goku disappears with Shenron (the Eternal Dragon of Earth), at the end of Dragon Ball GT. For those Dragon Ball Z fans who don’t know what Dragon Ball GT is, let me tell you. IT’S THE LAST INCARNATION OF THE DRAGON BALL SERIES. In DBGT’s last episode, episode #64, Goku leaves with the Eternal Dragon, disappearing for the next 100 years so that the ultimate wish can be granted: all the people on the planet Earth who were killed by Ii Shenron (Evil Eternal Dragon) would be brought back to life. This story takes place right after Goku leaves with the Good Eternal Dragon, Shenron. Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball are the property of their respective creators. Sailor Moon/Dragon Ball GT: The Return Chapter One: Earth “There are worlds within worlds…” --Magi, from the movie “Ferngully” “Vegeta,” Goku, the noble Saiya-jinn said to his friend, the Saiya-jinn prince. “Don’t tell anyone what I’m planning to do. Especially not Chi-Chi.” Goku looked at his wife, Chi-Chi, who was several feet below him, standing on the ground. The two Saiya-jinn were floating high in the air, beside the giant head of Shenron, the Eternal Dragon. “Of course, Kakurot,” Vegeta replied, referring to Goku by his Saiya-jinn name. “I won’t tell a soul. God speed, Kakurot. Safe journey.” Goku flew up and landed on Shenron’s head. The dragon’s eyes looked up at the Saiya-jinn warrior and said, “Are you ready?” “Yes,” Goku said evenly. He looked down and sees his friends, his two sons-Gohan, his eldest, and his youngest son, Goten-and finally looked at his wife, Chi-Chi. “I might be a little late for dinner! Don’t wait up for me!” Goku yelled down to his family. He fought back the tears, knowing he won’t be back for a hundred years… Shenron flew through the air, flying, soaring. Goku felt the wind in his thick, black hair, and soon fell into a deep sleep as Shenron opened a portal leading to wherever the dragon was leading him to… Serena leaned into Darien’s arms as they sat on the wooden bench in the park, looking at the sunset, as the last rays of light sparkled in the lake in front of them. It had been three days since Serena had defeated Sailor Doom, and she was content to leave her fighting days behind. Darien’s head snapped up, suddenly, and Serena followed his gaze across the lake, and saw her future daughter, Rini, walking along on the opposite side of the lake, her obedient Luna-Ball floating behind her. “When do you think Sailor Pluto will give her the permission to return home, Darien?” Serena asked. Darien could only shrug in response. They both loved Rini-she was their future daughter, after all-but they knew she had to return to her real parents in the future. She couldn’t stay here in this time period forever. Sailor Doom’s spirit gazed upon the ultimate warrior, Mistress Nine. He would awake her; he had too, if he was to succeed in becoming a god. He must revive Mistress Nine. But he knew that his traitorous apprentice, Miran would try to stop him from accomplishing that task. He too, knows that Mistress Nine could be kept in stasis by the very means that she was to be released: fusion power. Pure fusion energy could keep her in stasis. Corrupted fusion energy would free her. He would win out. He just had to. Rini stared into the wide eyes of her Luna-Ball. “When can I go back?” she asked the cat-like sphere, not really expecting a response. “I love my friends here, but I miss my Mommy and Daddy. I want to go home…” “Don’t worry, Rini,” said a soft voice behind her. Rini turned around, hugging the Luna-Ball. She looked into Serena’s blue eyes. Darien was behind Serena, a hand on her shoulder. “Yeah,” he said optimistically, “Don’t worry munchkin, Sailor Pluto will send you back. You just got to be patient. I’m sure Pluto is doing the best she can to try to find the perfect time to send you back. You'll see.” Rini smiled at both of them. “Thanks, guys,” she said. “No problem, Rini,” Serena replied. Then she said, with a slight “air-headed” tone in her voice, “Let’s go to the ice-cream shop! I could go for a little quadruple-decker chocolate ice cream right now!” She had a dazed look on her face as she thought about the quadruple-decker chocolate ice cream that she would buy. Darien laughed and Rini just smiled. Good old Serena. “Uhh…where…am…I…?” Goku woke up from his slumber to find himself in some alley somewhere. Goku could not sense Shenron’s powerlevel anywhere. Shenron was gone, and that wasn’t good. “Where’s Shenron?” Goku asked himself. “And where am I?” Goku smoothed over the wrinkles in his blue uniform pants and looked around. The alley was dirty, and really messed up his blue uniform. Oh well, he thought, at least I’m okay. Goku opened his mind, trying to sense any nearby powerlevels. Nothing. Not a single power level above that of a normal human. He could sense something else, though, not too strong, but it was there. Goku turned around quickly, looking behind him. The quick movement startled the brown cat that was hiding behind a group of trashcans. The cat ran off out of the alley. “I must be getting a bit paranoid in my old age,” Goku grumbled to himself. He was forty-eight years old, but he looked rather young despite being middle-aged. He had a full head of black hair, no wrinkles, and no white hairs. He was clean-shaven and had an almost child-like expression on his face at all times. He looked more like a twenty-year-old out of college than a forty-eight year old father. Goku stepped out of the alley, clearly confused as to where he was. He looked to his left, and saw a crowded street with people walking up and down the lanes. To his right, he saw cars passing by. He was thoroughly flustered. All the cars he knew about were air-cars, and, as such, they required no wheels. The city held the noxious fumes of gasoline and dirt. His crinkled nose at the smell. “Where am I?’ he asked himself silently. A short, pudgy man rushed by, bumping into Goku, rudely grunting that he should watch where he was going, and ended the encounter by rushing off again. Goku was extremely flustered. “What strange customs,” he remarked to himself sourly. “I must be on another planet or something.” Rini was beating Sammy’s score three-to-one, Sammy grumbling after every consecutive loss. The two had been going at each other for over an hour, playing head-to-head in the latest Sailor V video game. Sammy, who considered himself the best at video games, was humbled in a rather embarrassing way, as the pink-haired girl next to him was chalking up the points.“Ha! That’s ten wins in a row!” Rini exclaimed, dropping the controller and throwing her arms up into the air. She had just killed off Sammy’s character with a deft, and brutal, special attack. “No! That’s not fair! I should have won!” “Ha! Ha! Ha!” Rini laughed mockingly in Sammy’s face. Serena stepped into the room just then. “What are you two doing in my room and playing my games? Get out! Both of you!” She started pointing out into the hallway beyond the door. “I have to get ready for a date, and I can’t have you two runts in here while I get ready! Scram!” Sammy, knowing that facing Serena right before a date wasn’t a wise decision went out the door without another word. Rini, knowing that Serena and Darien were her future parents, decided to obey her future mother, and also left, but not before sticking out her tongue at the fun-wrecking Serena. “Out! Out! Out!” Serena fumed, pointing out the door. But, of course, Rini was halfway out the door anyway. Serena slammed the door closed behind the pink-haired girl. With the two “runts” out of her room, Serena let out a sigh, and went to her dresser, fishing out a dress and other such trivial things to get ready for her date. Darien drove over thirty minutes later, and Serena came practically skipping out to meet him. Serena’s mother told to have fun, a smile on her face, while her father, in sharp contrast, glowered at Darien, who, in his opinion, was too old for his “innocent” daughter. If he only knew that his “innocent” daughter had killed Sailor Doom… Serena stepped into Darien’s car and looked at him. He had started growing a beard, and it made him look more mature and older. But it didn’t hide his childlike eyes. Serena touched his bearded cheek, and smiled mischievously. “I still think the beard makes you look more like an old man,” she chuckled. Darien smiled a crooked smile. He put on the gas and drove off, the sun setting in the horizon. Goku looked toward the setting sun, watching it dip behind the mountains. Then, he sensed it. A power like he had never felt before. Its powerlevel was huge, by at least ten times his own. Even at his maximum powerlevel, he was only at half of this power’s full strength. “What can have that kind of a power?” Goku asked himself. A powerlevel larger than his own! A normal person would be scared, terrified at the prospect of a power larger than his own, but Goku wasn’t a normal person. He was a Saiya-jinn. A Super Saiya-jinn. One of two remaining full-blooded Saiya-jinn left. He was excited at the thought of fighting someone stronger than he was-the thought of using all of his power sent electricity through his veins. The powerlevel he was detecting was coming from the south. Goku, excited, started glowing with white light. “Time to find out what kind of power I’m going up against!” Goku blasted off with a roar of energy, flying straight into the air, heading south, breaking the sound barrier in less than a second. Sailor Doom floated through hyperspace, thinking quickly on how he could generate enough fusion energy to release Mistress Nine. He opened his mind, using a discipline that few possessed. He searched outward, using his mind, trying to find something, anything that could help him. His mind’s eye raced out of hyperspace altogether, searching heaven and hell, high and low, then, suddenly, he found it. In the Netherworld, somewhere between Hell and Snake Way, floated a dead spirit. It had a white body, with purple shoulders, abdomen, shins, forearms, and head. It had a white, whip-like tail, but had no features that would distinguish it from being male or female. Sailor Doom had no idea what this thing was, but he could feel its power. Even dead, this spirit was gaining in power with every second that passes. Sailor Doom’s mind raced back to hyperspace, and the dark warrior awoke once more, released from his trance. He smiled evilly. He had his warrior. He had his tool to help him get Dr. Tomoe’s fusion generator. A plan was building in Sailor Doom’s mind.
