Sailor Moon: The Three Waves of Destruction Wave Two Chapter One: Of Deadly Dreams and Deadly Monsters The master tapped his chin with his fingers, lost in thought. The apprentice simply looked at his master, trying to read the master's thoughts by reading his expressions. "Something the matter, Master?" the apprentice asked, breaking the master's line of thought. "All we have discovered from Masenko's…sacrifice…was that the Guardian is far stronger than he appears to be, and that this Sailor Saturn girl is very powerful, but physically weak." "That is a valuable bit of information, Master," "No, it is not," the master said, "We do not know the full extent of the Guardian's powers. That alone makes him more dangerous than he appears. We cannot have any mistakes. And I hate loose ends," Confused by that last statement, the apprentice turned a questioning look on his master. "Sailor Saturn is not one of the two mysterious Scouts." The master said simply. "She isn't tall enough to fit the description of either of the mysterious Scouts. From all the reports we have gathered, both of these two new Scouts are taller than Saturn." He sat back in his onyx throne; "I hate loose ends," he said again. Hotaru, Darien, the cats, Rini, and the Scouts all gathered at Raye's temple, engrossed in conversation. "Its just amazing," Amy began, "Ever since you transformed, all of our memories of you in your past life just came back to us!" "Yes," Hotaru agreed, "I, too, remember my past life and the Silver Millennium." "As I recall, there were exactly nine princesses," Artemis said, "I only remembered the princesses of the Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus because I had the most contact with those planets. I do remember visiting the other planets, but the Stasis Capsules Luna and I were in were able to retain only the memories of the Inner planet princesses." "It's the same story with me," the black cat agreed, "I only remembered the Inner planet princesses," "But now, ever since you transformed, we regained some of our memories that didn't transfer to us," Artemis finished, eyeing Hotaru directly. "Well, what do we do about the two mysterious Scouts?" Mina asked, "Hotaru can't be one of them; she's to short to be either one of them," "Two new Scouts?" Hotaru asked; she never heard about any of this. Darien sighed, "I guess we better fill her in on EVERYTHING that's happened so far," The gathered friends told Hotaru everything about Beryl, Alan and Ann, the Negamoon family, and Wiseman. They even told her about Rini and her 'unique' origins. They talked for several hours, telling every detail of every battle, and Hotaru enjoyed every minute of it; she never had any real friends in this life before. Guardian sat cross-legged, deep in concentration. He was trying to use his Shadow Hunter skills to locate whoever was spying on him. He could feel a presence watching him, spying on him, but he just couldn't pinpoint its location. "Where are you?" he whispered into the empty room, relentlessly searching for the spy. "He's trying to find us," the apprentice said, matter-of-factly. The master chuckled, "He's good. He almost found us. Of course, I was moving the location of the 'spying eye' spell so he couldn't find us." "And your reactions are sharper than his; that gave you a clear advantage," the apprentice commented. His master nodded in full agreement. They both knew that if any enemy went against him, they wouldn't stand a chance. Not even if all the soldiers in the Universe stood against them. Greg wandered into around town, not really going anywhere, just wanting to try to sort out the vivid images he saw in his dreams last night. He saw the Sailor Scouts, with Hotaru and the two mysterious Scouts beside them, fighting a large, super-strong monster. The monster was killing them all, one by one. Including Amy. He shook his head, trying to clear away the dark, ominous thoughts. However, they wouldn't go away. He could see Amy's beautiful blue eyes, wide with horror, as the monster jabbed its huge fist into her chest, breaking bone and tearing her heart apart. Greg looked up and realized he had subconsciously wandered to Amy's apartment complex. Looking up to where Amy's window was located, he could see the blue-eyed girl through the window, studying. He almost went to the apartment complex's front door, almost wanted to go to her, to tell her what he had seen, to tell her to be careful. He continued walking along with a heart heavy. "I'm sorry, Amy," he said into the night, "but my powers come with certain responsibilities. I can't let you know any more about the future than you know already." Back in his own home, in his own room, Greg began to doubt his decision to keep his knowledge a secret. "Damn," he muttered, anger boiling within him, "Damn it all to hell," Greg punched his pillow, the pressure causing it to burst at the seams, fluff flying out of it. "Send down another monster," the master ordered. The apprentice didn't hesitate this time, throwing a glowing ball of energy to the ground. The ball of energy exploded, and when the smoke cleared, a seven-foot tall metallic monster stood before the apprentice. Silvery metal plates that covered it like a second skin, two glowing red eyes set in its otherwise featureless head. It possessed no mouth, nose, or ears to speak of, its body smooth and devoid of any detail except the metal plates. "Go, Mettallix," the apprentice ordered, waving a hand, "Find the Sailor Scouts. Fight them. Kill them." Mettallix bowed before the apprentice and a white flame surrounded it. When the flames died down, the monster was gone, its teleportation skill sending it to Earth. Greg's haunting nightmares returned to him as soon as his head hit the busted pillow. At first, the dream was simply a pleasant fantasy; Amy was wearing a bikini and was splashing around by the seashore. Greg smiled as he slept, thinking that the nightmares were just a side effect of his powers. He had always wanted to see what Amy looked like in a bathing suit. His fantasy quickly changed into a horrible omen. No longer was Amy on the seashore in a bikini. She was standing with the other Sailors, fully transformed and bleeding from several wounds, fighting for her life against a huge, tyrannical godlike figure. Greg woke up drenched in sweat, coming to wakefulness right before the monster killed Amy. The Guardian was still sitting cross-legged on the floor, eyes closed, when he felt the pervading evil around him. His eyes snapped wide open in an instant. The warrior reacted like a snake; his arm snapping outward, grabbing his shirt, and snapping back to his chest, shirt in hand. He slipped into his shirt, unsheathed his dirk, and silently left the warehouse, following his instincts that were leading him to some evil creature that could compromise his secret agenda, an agenda that not even the ever-watchful Shadow Hunters have discovered. He wanted to keep it that way. Mettallix appeared in front of the comic book store. The store's customers and employees all ran for their lives when the monster tore apart the shelves and aisles. "Don't you know that comics can ruin your mind?" the monster said laughing like a maniac. Mettallix grabbed a scrawny sales clerk, lifted him up by the back of his shirt, and curled his metal hand into a fist, meaning to pummel the clerk senseless. A flash on light sliced the monster's hand right off, the closed metal fist denting the tiled floor where it landed. Mettallix looked around for that flash of light, and found it: a beautifully crafted dirk, sticking out of the ground. Mettallix, too entranced by the intricately and beautiful weapon, didn't even see the Guardian fly at his back, feet first. Guardian crashed into the metal monster, his double-foot kick causing a large dent in Mettallix's back. The metal monster eyed him dangerously, but Guardian merely smiled, motioned with his hand that the fight should continue, and took up a battle stance. The monster charged, spinning around in mid-charge, using the spin to build up momentum. The monster punched out, the gathered momentum and the speed of the charge giving that single punch enough force to blow a hole in the wall on contact. The Guardian took the blow full in the jaw. His head snapped back, and he reeled as the blow disoriented him. He shook his head, trying to shake off the flashes of pain. The Guardian could sense the monster charge again, and, while he couldn't see straight, managed to dodge the charge by using his other senses. Mettallix turned about, facing the disoriented Guardian. The Guardian, by this time, had regained his senses and his sight. He and Mettallix charged at the same time, clashing together as a wild flurry of punches and kicks. Guardian blocked each attack of Mettallix, and the monster, in turn, deflected all of the Guardian's attacks. Seconds passed the fighting continued, but Mettallix changed tactics. The monster went full offensive; it took the hits and didn't even try to block them. He just continued to assault the Guardian. The warrior was slowing getting tired. He couldn't cause any real damage to the metal monster, other than dent it. He had put a lot of energy into each blow, and that caused him to get tired after striking the monster so many times. Then it happened. Mettallix's arm snapped out, and Guardian, in his exhausted state, couldn't block it in time. The blow connected squarely on the Guardian's face, knocking him into a wall. The Guardian crumpled to the floor, dazed. He could feel warm blood trickle down his face. His head ached. The throbbing pain was clouding his mind. He could faintly hear a feminine voice saying something…was that Sailor Moon spouting yet another of her corny speeches? He shook his head, trying to clear his mind, but the action only brought more pain. "…and in the name of the Moon, I will punish you!" It was indeed Sailor Moon! He smiled, thinking that he was going to be saved. Then he remembered the file he had read on her back at the Shadow Hunter base. He remembered reading how bad a fighter she was. "If she is my only hope for survival," he muttered to himself, "I'll be as good as dead," Sailor Jupiter took the offensive, kicking at the metal monster, and causing quite a large dent in its chest. Mettallix grabbed Jupiter by the hair and tossed her around, eventually throwing her into a wall. Mercury activated her visor, opened her computer, and started taking readings on the monster while Mars used her Celestial Fire Surround attack to melt off some of the metal plating on Mettallix's skin. "That's it!" Mercury cried, looking at Mars, "Keep hitting it with fire! Then, when its skin is sufficiently melted, I'll freeze it solid!" Mars nodded to her companion. "Mars Celestial Fire Surround!" she yelled, discs of flame flying unerringly toward Mettallix. The metal monster screamed as the fire discs bit into its skin, melting the metal plates. Mercury nodded her admiration of her friend's prowess and started her own attack after putting her computer and visor away. "Mercury Ice Bubbles Blast!" Frozen bubbles slammed into Mettallix, freezing the melted plates, stiffening the monster's limbs, and basically rendering it immobile. "Take that thing out now, Sailor Moon!" Venus yelled to her friend, seeing that the monster was defenseless. Sailor Moon raised the Moon Scepter in front of her, aiming it at Mettallix. "Moon Scepter Elimina--!" Sailor Moon didn't finish the attack as the metal monster's eyes fired its secret weapon: twin lasers, one laser from each eye. Sailor Moon shrieked as the twin beams burned into her skin. Sailor Moon went down on her knees, dropping the Scepter to the ground. One hand went to her ribs, stemming the blood flow where the beam had hit her. Her other hand went to her shoulder, blood dripping from a burn wound also made by a laser blast. "Damn," Guardian cursed under his breath, "we're dead," Sailor Moon: The Three Waves of Destruction Wave Two Chapter Two: The Silence Glaive The Guardian continued to curse under his breath, realizing just how pathetic the Sailor Scouts were at fighting. They depended too much on their special attacks. That was their weakness. They depended on other sources of power other than their own. "They can't win," he mused. Sailor Moon was pressed up against the wall held suspended three feet off the ground by Mettallix, who was holding her by the neck. Sailor Moon gasped for breath as Mettallix's iron grip slowly squeezed the life out of her. Venus, who had yet to try her hand in the fight, was ready to save her friend, already well into the routines of her attack. "Venus Love Chain Encircle!" A glowing whip of hearts snapped about, slicing right through Mettallix's left leg. The dismembered leg disintegrated into dust, and the monster screamed in rage as it let go of Sailor Moon's neck and reached down at the stump where its leg had once been. Sailor Moon crashed to the floor, gasping. A black cloaked figure zipped by, taking Sailor Moon into its arms and carrying her across the store, setting her on the ground to catch her breath. "Thanks, Tuxedo Mask," she said, gulping for air as she looked up at him. Tuxedo Mask smiled at her, laying one comforting hand on her shoulder. "Hey, Mask!" Guardian called out, coughing up blood even as he said the words, "This isn't exactly time for romance! Kill that thing! I definitely can't do much damage, wounded as I am! And the Sailor Scouts can't fight without their attacks!" That remark brought a lot of "Hey! That's not fair!" from the Scouts. Guardian cared to elaborate, "Well, you aren't adept at unarmed combat or martial arts, and I don't think you can use a sword or other weapon, so what am I supposed to think?" The Scouts got the point. They really couldn't fight without their powers. "You're all dead!" Mettallix screamed at them, bringing them all back to the situation at hand. Tuxedo Mask threw a rose at the monster, scraping a large cut into its metal skin. Venus and Mars combined their special attacks together, creating a whip of flaming hearts. The combined attacks sliced off both of Mettallix's arms, and melted his shoulders. Mercury and Jupiter also combined their attacks, creating an ice bubble that had electricity bouning around inside of it. The electrically charged bubble crashed into the metal monster, freezing up its metal skin and electrocuting it as well, paralyzing it. The sudden, and multiple, temperature changes caused all the atoms in Mettallix's metal skin to contract and expand rapidly, finally causing the skin to crack, and then, shatter. The monster didn't seem so tough now; it appeared to be a featureless mass of flesh, the flesh stretched taught against a skinny skeleton. Sailor Saturn decided to try her luck. She formed a ball of energy in her hands, concentrating her energy like she did with Masenko, and focused all of that energy at Mettallix. "Saturn Planet Power!" she whispered, concentrating. Suddenly, the energy she had gathered condensed in her hands, forming itself into a spear-like weapon: a glaive. It consisted of a jet black pole about five and a half feet in length, which was taller than Sailor Saturn, and had, on its tip, a U shaped blade, with the upper, broader blade being longer than the narrower, lower blade. Both blades converged into one tip, just barely touching one another. Saturn looked dumbfounded at the weapon in her hands. It was bigger than her, and should have certainly been too heavy for her to wield; yet it was lightweight, and perfectly balanced, as if it was made for her. "Do you think that stick is going to stop me, kid?" Mettallix taunted, eyes flashing. "We'll see," she said evenly. "Let's see what this thing can do!" Saturn raised the weapon above her head, black lightning racing up its length and jumping off of the U shaped blade. She felt the power…and the activation words…in her head, as if it was second nature. "Silence Glaive Surprise!" she yelled, jumping into the air above the monster's head. She came down vertically, glaive pointed down, intending to skewer the monster down the middle. All sound ceased as the Silence Glaive came down on the monster's head. The glaive went into the monster's head cleanly, going all the way down and then embedding itself into the ground. A flash of purple light emitted from the glaive as it hit the ground. When the light faded, the monster was gone, vaporized by the Glaive's magic. The monster wasn't the only thing to be destroyed; the store, in a fifteen-foot radius, had been totally vaporized. Nothing remained in the entire radius. The Scouts all looked at Saturn, wide-eyed at the devestation her attack caused. Luna and Artemis, who had been watching the fight from outside, came in. Luna noticed the weapon in Saturn's hands and gasped, "That's the Silence Glaive!" Artemis was just as surprised as Luna at seeing the once-thought-forgotten weapon. The others looked at the dark-haired Scout curiously. Saturn just stared at her weapon. Luna explained, "That's the Silence Glaive, a powerful and destructive weapon forged back on the planet Saturn during the Silver Millennium. It is practically indestructible; only the most evil and most powerful forces can shatter it. The Glaive was embued with three attacks: the Silent Glaive Surprise, which you just did, Saturn, the Silence Wall, which protects against attacks, and the Death Reborn Revoulution, an attack that can destroy a planet, and should be used with discretion." The sounds of nearby sirens could be heard, and the Scouts and their companions all came to the conclusion that it was time to, as Venus and Jupiter would put it, "book it," Sailor Moon: The Three Waves of Destruction Wave Two Chapter Three: Enter Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune The Scouts and their comrades ran into an alley, deciding it was time to revert back to normal. Serena, back in her street clothes, rubbed her sore neck; red lines burned into her flesh from where Mettallix had squeezed her. Darien looked at her worriedly. "I'm alright," she assured him, her voice scratchy. Guardian grabbed at his head, the pain returning. "Damn it," he swore. He shook his head, trying to clear it. This time, the action alleviated his pain, just a little. Hotaru looked down at her hands; she was still holding the Silence Glaive. "What am I supposed to do with this?" she asked, looking at Luna and Artemis. "Just concentrate and turn it into energy," Luna said, "Then force the energy to go away. When you need it again, just will it back to your hands," Hotaru nodded, closed her eyes, and, in an instant, the Glaive vanished in a flash of white light. A groan escaped the Guardian's lips, drawing concerned stares from everyone. "Heh," he croaked, "I'm alright. It will take more than a headache to stop me," He instinctively reached down to his belt, meaning to grasp his dirk's pommel. Then he remembered that he never retrieved it from the battle site. "My dirk!" he groaned, "I must have left it in the store! I'll be right back!" Before anyone could stop him, the Guardian had already disappeared from the alley, going in an all out rush back to the store. The Guardian eased his slender body through the broken window of the store. The police as well as the paramedics were scattered about in the main room. He saw his dirk embedded in the ground near the far wall, most of it hidden by fallen comic books. He used his amazing stealth to sneak silently and unseen to the far wall, carefully eased the comic books off of his dirk, pulled the weapon out of the ground, and slipped it into its sheath at his belt. He made his sneaky way back to the window and slipped back out, not noticing the glowing red eyes watching him from the window of a nearby second story building. The red-eyed figure backed away from the window, chin in hand, deep in thought. The mysterious figure turned to regard its very feminine partner, the dangerous human female with those captivating green eyes that could command a man's soul and that long, silver hair that hid within it at least fifty razor sharp daggers. "What do you think, Opal?" the figure asked the feminine creature. "Let us continue our spying," the female, Opal, replied, "It would truly be a shame for our group to lose such an effective officer," "Yes," the mysterious figure agreed, "It would be a shame to lose him," "Are you developing parental instincts for Derrak, Lord Perrigon?" Opal teased. "No, Opal," Lord Perrigon snapped, "The boy will finish his assignment and kill Sailor Moon as ordered, or face the consequences of his insubordination: he will be marked as a Renegade, and the Super Elite will dispose of him as is written in the rules of our group." Opal sauntered over to him, placing a delicate hand on his shoulder, slipping her other hand around his waist. "Hmmm. I love it when you try to hide your feelings," she purred, "You can lie to yourself, but not to me; you care for Derrak, and would no more mark him as a Renegade than you would try to kill him yourself." Perrigon flushed, knowing that her logic had hit the mark. Opal didn't miss his reaction. She kept her hand on his waist, while she moved her other hand from his shoulder to trace his ear. "Opal," Perrigon said in his most authoritative voice, "Go and check up on the other Shadow Hunter spies. And alert the Super Elite. We might need their skills," "You can lie to yourself…" she said to him, testing his resolve, before turning and walking away in her typically alluring way, one foot in front of the other, rear end swaying side to side. Perrigon turned and looked out the window, looking around the streets for the Guardian and the Sailor Scouts. Perrigon pushed back his dark hair, red eyes flashing as he spotted two female figures, one tall, another short, standing on the rooftop of a nearby building. They were both dressed in Sailor uniforms. While Perrigon's eyes stayed trained on the two female figures, his mind raced back to the Silver Millennium, to that fatal mission one thousand years ago… It was the Silver Millennium. The good Queen Serenity's kingdom was in full flower. The Shadow Hunters, their base currently located on the far side of a small moon in another galaxy, was also in its prime. The Shadow Hunters had been hired to spy on a rather large enemy encampment. The encampment was so large, that it took all but ten of the Shadow Hunters to scout it out. There were exactly one hundred fully-fledged members in the Hunters, including the Super Elite. However, only ninety Hunters were sent on this mission; the remaining ten were the junior officers Derrak Ark and Opal Shara, the seven Super Elite officers, and Lord Perrigon himself. A tall, dark man who called himself Miran had hired the ninety other Hunters. He wanted to have the enemy encampment scouted, secured, and then eliminated. Evidently, the soldiers in the encampment were Caster's enemies. The mission lasted only three hours, and things were looking great: no one had been injured, ninety-nine percent of the encampment had been eliminated and secured, and the payroll was getting higher for the Shadow Hunters. Then came the stealth ships. The Hunters were not able to detect them, didn't even know they were even there. There were only three stealth ships, two of which had been vaporized on sight. The third one fired only one torpedo before it was destroyed by the combined efforts of the Hunters. However, that single torpedo had vaporized all ninety of the Hunters, eliminating all but the ten Shadow Hunters that had stayed behind. Perrigon stared long and hard at the two mysterious Sailor Scouts. One of them, the taller one, had short, thick dirty-blond hair, while the shorter one had dark greenish colored hair that was long and loose. He couldn't make out the colors of their uniforms, but at least he could identify them easily enough. "Come on, Derrak," Perrigon hissed softly, "I need those Scouts dead so I can get enough money from our employer to rebuild the Shadow Hunters," The Guardian was the first one to sense the coming of yet another monster. He turned a sharp eye on Serena, hand going to his belt, where his dirk was hanging from a loose cord. Without saying a word, the Guardian whipped his dirk at Serena. The small weapon zipped past her, flying just a scant inch above her left shoulder, and embedding itself into the shoulder of something standing behind Serena! The creature, which had been hiding in the shadows, stumbled out, stepping into the light. It was hideous. It was covered in scales, a small, three-inch spike sticking out of each of its scales. It had webbed hands and feet, its long fingers and toes ending in sharp claws. Its head resembled that of a fish, gill slits sticking from both sides of its long, slender neck. Serena jumped back after taking one look at it. Darien stepped in front of her, black wisps of energy surrounding him and transforming him into Tuxedo Mask. The other Scouts followed suit, calling out their respective planets and transforming. The Guardian stumbled, groaning in pain. His hands went to his temples, the headache returning. He wiped the blood that started dripping from the wound on his head, smearing the red liquid over his cheek. Sailor Venus threw her hands up into the air. "Venus, Love Chain Encircle!" The gold whip wrapped around the fish monster, burning into its scaly hide. Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter used a combination attack instead. "Mars Celestial Fire Surround!" "Jupiter Thunder Dragon!" The bluish dragon charged up by Jupiter's lightning, surged at the fish monster. Mars's flame discs hit the dragon, surrounding it with deadly flames. The fiery dragon blasted into the fish monster, burning off several of its scales. Sailor Mercury and Sailor Saturn also used combination attacks, Saturn throwing her Silence Glaive at the monster, its U-shaped headpiece flying at the monster like an arrow. "Mercury Ice Storm Freeze!" A blast of pure ice engulfed the Glaive, turning it into a spear of ice. The ice-spear slashed into the monster, exploding on impact into several shards of ice that stuck to the monster. Saturn focused her willpower, commanding her weapon to return to her. The Glaive obeyed its mistress, the weapon reappearing in her hands. The Guardian's hand went to his belt buckle, pressing the hidden switch concealed within it. A click and a whir, and a black helmet formed itself on the Guardian's head. It came out of the small, thin gray box on the back of his Shadow Hunter uniform. It looked like a normal motorcyclist's helmet, only without the black visor. Instead of a visor, a single black eyepiece covered the Guardian's right eye. "Scanner," the Guardian said into his helmet's receiver, "Lock on Monster Number One." The eyepiece flashed, and crosshairs appeared in the eyepiece, zigzagging around and eventually settling down on the fish monster. A square box appeared around the fish monster as the crosshairs took aim on its torso. "Scanner. Head shot." The crosshairs moved up slowly, stopping on the monster's forehead. "Scanner. Right eye. Penetration bullet. Heat sensing bullet casing. Explosion type pellets. Lock on its brain. Shoot to kill." The crosshairs moved to the monster's right eye, the monster's body suddenly turning into an infrared map of the thing's body. The crosshairs slowly moved from the monster's right eye tracing a line on the eyepiece as the crosshairs went to the monster's brain, targeting it. A panel opened on the helmet's right side, a small cannon coming out of it. "Fire," The cannon was equipped with a silencer, so no sound was heard as the heat-sensing penetration bullet shot out of the cannon, aimed for the monster's right eye. The bullet entered the monster's eye without a single drop of blood spilling and zipped unerringly toward the monster's brain, following the path the crosshairs made on the eyepiece. When it reached its destination, however, it was totally vaporized by the negative energy field surrounding and shielding the monster's head. Seeing that his bullet didn't make it through the right eyepiece's radar system, the Guardian deactivated his helmet, the protective gear retracting into a small, thin gray box. "Sailor Moon," he called out, "Do not aim for its head! Its head is shielded!" The female warrior nodded his way and brandished her Scepter. "Moon Scepter Elimination!" A spiral of hearts and a crescent moonbeam cut into the monster's chest, giving it a new hole in its upper torso. This monster, however, was designed to take heavy damage. The monster closed its beady eyes and, in an instant, the hole had sealed up, regenerated by sheer willpower. Sailor Moon jumped back disgusted. The apprentice laughed as the fish monster regenerated. "You picked well, Miran," the master said to his apprentice. Miran, the apprentice, turned to him. "Indeed. He has the ability to regenerate. He will be tough to defeat." "Great," Sailor Jupiter said sarcastically, "He can regenerate. Now our job is more interesting." "We can't beat this thing alone," the Guardian said. Tuxedo Mask hurled several roses in rapid succession, more to keep it at bay than to damage it. The fish monster merely batted the roses aside. The monster cocked its arms back then swung, releasing two black energy balls. The energy balls struck the ground in front of the Scouts, knocking them off their feet. They crashed to the ground, unharmed physically, but dazed. The monster cocked its arms back again, preparing another blast. "Invited by the new era…" a deep female voice, said. "World Shaking!" A blast of yellow energy shaped into the planet Uranus, flew from the roof of the nearby building. The yellow energy zipped into the ground, tearing up concrete as it rushed unerringly toward the monster. The creature was hit, dead on, in the chest. It shook violently from the attack, but remained standing. "I am Sailor Uranus!" the deep female voice called out after the attack hit. The speaker jumped from the roof and landed in front of the monster, standing between the enemy and the fallen Scouts. She was dressed in a Sailor uniform, but its primary color was a very dark blue. She had short blond hair and deep blue eyes. She was exceptionally tall, taller than Sailor Jupiter, and was obviously very strong, considering that she created two large holes in the ground where she landed. "Also invited by the new era…" another voice, this one soft and discreet, called out. "Deep Submerge!" A blue ball of energy, this one shaped like the planet Neptune, roared out from the rooftop and crashed into the monster below. The monster was thrown to the ground from the pressure of the attack. A slender woman jumped down from the roof, landing beside her blond companion. "I am Sailor Neptune!" the newcomer said. She was a stark contrast to the tall Sailor Uranus. This newcomer had thick sea green hair and wide blue eyes. She was significantly shorter than Sailor Uranus, only reaching to about her companion's shoulder. She was also dressed in a Sailor uniform, though her color was deep green. Luna and Artemis, who had been holding back in the fight, stared, awestruck. "The Outer Scouts," they whispered, "They must be the two mysterious Scouts we have been looking for," Luna was the first to recover from the shock. "Sailor Uranus! Sailor Neptune! Combine your attacks with Sailor Venus's Love Chain and Sailor Mars's Fire Ignite! Venus, Mars! Attack now!" she ordered. Sailor Venus and Mars both went into their attacks. "Venus Love Chain…" "Mars Fire…" Sailor Uranus and Neptune joined them. "World…" "Deep…" Then all four finished their attacks together. "ENCIRCLE! IGNITE! SHAKING! SUBMERGE!" they all shouted at once. They combined attacks resulted with purely destructive results. The Love Chain and the Deep Submerge combined forming a chain of blue water, while the Fire Ignite and World Shaking attacks joined and became a single ball of red energy that was ripping apart the ground. Both combined attacks intertwined with one another, flying straight at the monster. The attacks hit and exploded on contact, ripping apart scales and flesh. When the smoke cleared a weakened creature was standing there, shakily, its scales blackened. "Sailor Moon," Luna commanded, "Attack now!" Sailor Moon drew out her Scepter. "Moon Scepter Elimination!" The telltale blast of white hearts and moonbeams tore into the monster, causing it to light up then turn to dust. "Your monster wasn't very strong, Miran," the master said to his apprentice. "Perhaps I should call in my own warriors?" "The Dark Lords of the Negaverse?" Miran said incredulously. "Why not?" the master replied. "The other soldiers we have sent down have failed us. I feel it necessary to send down some real warriors. They can keep the Sailor Scouts busy while Dr. Tomoe finishes his generator for us," Deep within the recesses of the battered and war-torn Negaverse, the Dark Lords gathered in one dark war room, in the Castle of the Shadows. A medium-sized humanoid, with white hair, onyx-black skin, and feral red eyes stood next to a taller human with broad shoulders, pale skin, and blue eyes to match his long blue hair. "What is the meaning of this?" the black-skinned humanoid roared, white hair flying wildly, revealing the delicately long and pointed ears of a dark elf. "Calm down and maybe we will find out," the taller human said casually. "I don't want to 'calm down', Orias!" the dark elf yelled back. "Please, we do not need such rudeness, Thraait," the tall man, identified as Orias, replid easily to the dark elf, Thraait. "Shut up, both of you," a slim, beautiful woman said to both of them. She stepped out of the shadows, standing before them, hands on hips. Her ruby red lips matched the red undertones of her pale skin. Her long black hair was tied into a ponytail and her eyes, pools of black shadow, promised danger to anyone who locked gazes with her. The two male warriors bowed deeply in apology, respecting her exalted rank of High Dark Lady of Shadows. The woman smiled evilly at both of them. "Forgive us, Lady Kanatil," Orias and Thraait said in unison, heads bowed in deference to their superior. Kanatil waved a hand their way, signaling them to rise from their bowed positions. "The Master has given us a job. I suggest we get started. I will brief both of you on what your roles are and the nature of our mission. It involves those who our exalted, and deceased, Queen Beryl failed to defeat: the Sailor Scouts," The scowls of anger were clearly shown on the faces of the two evil male warriors. Kanatil shared their hatred, but kept her feelings hidden behind a calm façade. The Sailor Scouts would die before the week was out.
